PUB1 Unseen 8mm Film on VHS or DVD Volume 1 ----- Never before seen Wartime 8mm Film Footage. These were taken from period AGFA film reels and then had transferred onto normal VHS Video's. There are many rare bits of film on tape including some of the following : Hitler's 50th Birthday Parade, Several minutes of Hitler and other generals at the planning table, General Franco in Spain, The return home of the condor legion from Spain, Fallschirmjager Troops on parade, Gunther Prien's U-boat Surfacing, Luftwaffe fighters and bombers including some footage take in the air during the battle of Britain, The invasion of Poland (some colour film of Panzer Tanks), The bombing and siege of Warsaw, A large section covering the entire capitulation of France in the famous railway carriage from the preparations to the generals leaving, The invasion of Russia and much more. The video is a silent video and approximately 1h long £15 on VHS & £5 on DVD

Unseen 16mm Wehrmacht Sniper training films ----- a Superb DVD featuring two 35 minute training reels used to train Wehrmacht snipers. The reels were made in 1944 and refer to combat on the Russian and western front. There are many clear shots of sniper equipment. The first training reel covers the use of cover, personal camouflage methods, movement methods, communication methods, hand signals for sniper teams and the construction of screens and hides amongst other topics. The second reel covers the construction of hides, the use and construction of decoys, combat techniques, sniper team and infantry unit tactics, shooting tactics and many more. The DVD has a combination of subtitles and voice over in English

WW2 16mm Russian film about battle of Stalingrad ----  Superb DVD featuring 75 minutes of mostly un-published film footage from the battle of Stalingrad. The Film was produced in 1962 from footage recorded in the 1940's by red army camera men. The film begins with a short history of the war on the Russian front up to the battle of Stalingrad and then continues to tell the tale of the battle from the Russian point of view. As the footage was filmed by the Russians it mostly consists of footage of Russian soldiers which is seldom seen. There is also good footage of the famous landmarks of the city as well as some footage of Stalingrad in the 1960's. All in all a fascinating if slightly biased documentary .

These Documentaries were made in black and white and originally produced on 8mm Film. Contents *Famous Planes of the RAF --- An air show filmed in the late 1960's. *The Sky's the Limit --- A documentary about Aerobatic flying featuring both military and civilian display pilots. Amongst the aircraft featured are WW1 aircraft, spitfires, Hurricanes, Comets, Gladiators, Swordfish, Lightning's, Early Jet Provosts and more. *RAF Flying boats leave for Australia --- Short film featuring flying boats flying in formation. *The Ultra-Modern in fighter planes. --- A short film displaying early jet's including the XP55 Ascender & the Bell P59 *The A.B.C of Aviation --- An early documentary about the science of aviation. All of the DVD is never before published on TV.

Contents : ** The rescue of aircrew from downed aircraft --- A training reel aimed at aircrew and ground crew. This film gives detailed instructions on how to rescue crewmembers from crashed aircraft. The film has many detailed close up shots and explains where to find emergency equipment. The film covers amongst others the following aircraft, the Spitfire, the Typhoon, the Lancaster & the Sterling. ** Gee Mark II --- Part 2, the second part of a series. The film explains how to use the Gee Mk II unit to home in on an enemy target over Germany.

The message is put across by telling the fictional story of a bomber crew shot down over Germany and their subsequent interrogations £5  
PUB11 WW2 RAF 16mm training films Volume 4 - Bits of our Aircraft are missing” --- A film aimed at the civilian population illustrating the importance of not removing parts of aircraft as souvenirs from crash sites as it hampers the work of crash investigation teams. The message is put across by telling the fictional story of a RAF crash investigation officer investigating a spate of crashes in a bomber unit.

Discipline & Moral” --- A training film that appears to have been shown to new recruits at a very early stage of their basic training. It details what the troops can expect from training including sections on Physical training and drill. It ends with a section of what the recruits can expect to become after they complete training and shows a large variety of RAF aircraft in flight including Spitfires, Hurricanes, Swordfish and many more.

PUB12 WW2 RAF 16mm training films Volume 5 - Gun Turret Drill” --- DVD Featuring 53 minutes of wartime 16mm RAF training film. The Film consists of two sections and is a very very technical training film on how to operate first the Fraser-Nash gun turret as used on the Lancaster and then the Boulton Paul Turret. The film covers step by step technical procedures for operating the turrets including loading, entry & Exit procedures, tool location & Usage and rotation. The films show in immense detail the layout of the turrets and there are a lot of close up shots of individual parts of the turrets £5
