The Wehrpass

The Wehrpass was effectively the same as the Soldbuch with the difference being that the wehrpass was held with the main records for the regiment not by the soldier. The wehrpass contained all of the soldiers details both military and civilian. It is therefore very useful to historians. It contains information on the following, personal details, Military service history, promotions, awards and much more. There were four basic designs for the wehrpass. The example shown bellow is a 2nd edition. They can be distinguished by different eagles on the cover and different layouts of the first few pages
