SS Police Soldbuch

 The SS-Soldbuch seen above is from a Hamburg Police unit. The Soldbuch was designed to proved a Identity document that would be carried at all times. The Soldbuch provided the complete military history of the holder, so should they be challenged they could prove who they were and what unit they belonged to. It was a Criminal offence for an member of the armed forces not to carry a Soldbuch.
